BT103 — Brazil Sul de Minas

Fine Cup | NY 2/3 | Screen 17/18

BT103 comes from Sul de Minas, in southern Minas Gerais, Brazil, a region known for rolling hills, elevated coffee farms and generations of coffee-growing expertise. Coffee is commonly cultivated at approximately 850–1,250 metres above sea level, with diverse growing conditions supporting different expressions of sweetness, body and acidity.

The people behind the coffee

Family farms, larger estates, associations and cooperatives all contribute to Sul de Minas’s coffee economy. Cooperatives and associations provide technical support, processing infrastructure and market access, while coffee farming remains both a livelihood and a family tradition.

BT103 is supplied by Tristão, a Brazilian green coffee company with a traditional family coffee heritage and roots dating back to 1935. Across generations, the Tristão family has built a lasting connection with Brazilian coffee and its international markets.

At its Varginha, Minas Gerais, operation, Tristão processes, stores and standardises Arabica lots, connecting Brazilian growers with roasters around the world.

Varieties

BT103 comprises Catuaí and Mundo Novo. Both are widely cultivated Arabica varieties in Sul de Minas. The region also produces Icatu, Obatã and Bourbon, contributing to its diverse coffee-growing landscape.

Specification
